ABOUT ANNETTE (“NETTIE”)
Annette began her career at Hartley & Pecora working as a Law Clerk while obtaining her law degree. Upon her graduation from Marquette University Law School in 2018, she began working full time as an Associate Attorney. During law school, Annette gained hands-on experience through a two-year internship in the Milwaukee Public Defender’s Office and active involvement in the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.
Annette is fluent in Spanish and handles many cases for clients who do not speak English or simply prefer speaking in Spanish. She is also well-versed in immigration law and can knowledgably advise clients who are not citizens of the United States. Annette understands the impact a criminal case can have on a non-citizen and strives to resolve their criminal cases with as little effect on their citizenship status as possible.
Annette handles a wide variety of cases from speeding tickets and drunk driving cases to drug offenses and armed robberies. Although her career is just beginning, she is a rising star in the criminal defense community and has quickly become recognized for her talent within the field. She has been successful in getting criminal cases dismissed, suppressing evidence harmful to her client’s defense, expunging convictions for young offenders, and beating the state’s case at trial.
